• Coached 4 varsity sports at North Allegheny High School from 1960 through 1987 and his combined boys and girls cross country teams and boys and girls track and field teams record during his 28 year coaching tenure was 722 wins and 19 losses in dual and tri-meets, a remarkable 97.5% winning margin
  • His combined career accomplishments for all four teams include 58 Section titles, 32 WPIAL (District 7) titles and 13 PIAA state championships
  • His boys cross country teams qualified “as a team” (all five runners were time-eligible for the championship race) 19 times at PIAA state championship meets across the years
  • His boys track and field teams won 8 WPIAL Relays championships and both the boys and the girls cross country teams won 50 invitational meet titles
  • He won 3 Tri-State Coach of the Year Awards, 2 PIAA Coach of the Year Awards and a Tri-State Coaches Lifetime Achievement Award
  • He was inducted into the North Allegheny Tigers Sports Hall of Fame in 1997 and the Pennsylvania Track and Field Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2002.
