An All-American at the University of Pittsburgh where he compiled six Pitt all-time receiving records including career pass receptions (133), career receiving yards (2,230) and career touchdown passes (21)
Set single season Pitt records in 1977 with 45-receptions, 793 yards-receiving and 9 touchdowns
Drafted in the 2nd round in 1979 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and played there through 1982
Played for the St. Louis Rams ’83-’84 seasons and also briefly with the Oakland Raiders in 1985 and the Chicago Bears in 1986 before retiring from the NFL in 1987
