Sean Casey – Baseball

  • Led Upper St. Clair High School to the WPIAL AAA baseball championship in 1992
  • At the University of Richmond, led NCAA Division I in batting average (.461) in 1995
  • Drafted in second round by the Cleveland Indians in 1995
  • Played for the Cleveland Indians in 1997, the Cincinnati Reds 1998-2005, the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2006, the Detroit Tigers in 2006-07 and the Boston Red Sox in 2008
  • Three time MLB National League All-Star (1999, 2001 and 2004)
  • Inducted into the Upper S. Clair High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2001, the University of Richmond Sports Hall of Fame in 2003, the Cincinnati Reds Baseball Club Hall of Fame in 2012 and the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame in 2014
  • Founder of Casey’s Clubhouse/The Miracle League of the South Hills in 2010
