
- A graduate of North Hills High School and William and Mary College
- Three-sport standout at North Hills and four-year football starter at William & Mary College
- Outstanding defensive back with the Buffalo Bills for eight seasons during their runner-up appearances in four consecutive Super Bowls under Coach Marv Levy
- After suffering several concussions at W&M as well as with the Bills, he remained concussion-free after electing to wear his signature over-sized “Pro Cap” helmet for the remainder of his pro career
- His 8-year NFL career included 99 games, 30 interceptions, three defensive touchdowns and four Super Bowl appearances
- Upon retirement, he received his teaching certification from Canisius College
- Successful high school football coach for 15 seasons
