For the past 58 years, the Robert “Tick” Cloherty – Western Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame has honored and inducted over 735 incredible men and women who have made a lasting impact in Pennsylvania through extraordinary athletic achievement and contributions. Whether these activities have been achieved on or off the field, we honor them here.

Won 27 games, lost 20–ERA 3.37. Washington Vocational lettered 3 years baseball and basketball. Played many years in Greater Pittsburgh League for St. Johns.

Played college football at Juniata College. His 185 regular Season victories ranked 6th All-Tlme. In 1993 he became The 8th 20-season hed coach in NFL history. NFL Coach-of-the-Year 4 times. AFC Coach-of-the-Year in 11n 1984 and 1984. Only coach in NFL history th win Division Championships for 3 different franchises. In 1992 he became only the gth head coach to coach in 300 games.

Pro contract with St. Louis Browns 1950, Class D, All Star team; 1953 Class B All Star Team Baltimore Orioles. Spring training with San Antonio 1954, year with Class A Wichita. Spring training 1955: Orioles sent to Wichita Indians. First 2 years of pro baseball made All-Star teams.

Public address announcer 1948-86 Forbes Field and Three Rivers, operator of scoreboards. 1919 became errand boy, 1920’s bat boy. Announcer for Duquesne University, Pitt and local professional hockey team. 1925 usher for World Series and 1927 was unpaid scoreboard operator for World Series. On Board of Directors of Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania.
