- Graduate Westmont Hilltop High School (Johnstown,Pa.). Attended Bucknell University(non-graduate), University of Pennsylvania Medical School, University of Pittsburgh Orthopedic Surgery, University of Pittsburgh Law School. Visiting professor Harvard and Brown Universities. Teacher at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine for 35 years.
- Team Orthopedic Surgeon Penn Hills High School 37 years and Riverview High School 20 years. Treated more than 35,000 injured athletes with over 5,000 sports-related surgical procedures. Founder East Suburban Sports Medicine Center, the first dedicated sports medicine program in the Eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh treating athletes at Plum, Franklin Regional, Woodland Hills, Gateway, East Allegheny, Norwin, Penn Trafford, Burrell, Yough and Pittsburgh Central Catholic.
- Personal on-site attendance as a physician at over 700 high school football games and 1000 high school basketball games. Play by play local TV announcer for Penn Hills Lady’s basketball 1993-94. Conferred and sponsored over 400 Athletic awards/scholarships for athletes. Emcee’d 40+ high school sports banquets.
- 2001: Penn Hills Sports Hall of Fame, 2003: both the Western Chapter and the East Boros Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, 2015: Pennsylvania Athletic Trainer’s Society Award for Outstanding Team Physician of Pennsylvania, 2000: Bill Fralic Foundation Community Recognition Award through Allegheny County District Attorney Office, 2016: Penn Hills Lifetime Achievement award, 2016: US Army mission honoree-Bagram Airport Afghanistan, 2001: Pittsburgh Roundball Classic “Role Model of the Year,” 5 time Allegheny County Commissioners Community Service Recognition Award in 2000,2003, 2004, 2010, and 2013
